IPL Brown Spot Treatment

With IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments, you can get rid of pesky brown spots and sunspots on your face in a non-invasive way. The Laser Aesthetic Center offers these types of services with Cutera’s LimeLight Facial™ for maximum effectiveness at lightening those areas up.

If you are looking to remove dark marks or even out skin tone all around the body, then this is an option worth considering!

Treatment

IPL treatments may be administered to any part of your face, neck, upper chest or anywhere else on the body. While some IPL treatments are only successful for patients with light skin and dark spots, there’s also LimeLight technology that can treat brown spots caused by sun damage – which is good news for those who have darker complexions than lighter ones!

There are a variety of IPL treatments, so before your treatment begins, our aestheticians will meet and evaluate which treatments is both the best cosmetically and most healthy for your skin. You will receive additional consultations before, during, and after your treatment. Your treatment can last anywhere between 15 minutes and one hour. For best results, you should have a total of about 4 treatment sessions.

Post-Treatment

During post-treatment, patients often see a uniform skin tone and an overall improvement in surface imperfections. This is because IPL treatments not only manage existing spots, they can also remove deeper ones that are yet to be seen but will inevitably show as we age if left untreated. For some people with melasma who have had children (post-pregnancy), it’s been found that the Limelight acts as a preventive treatment for their condition by giving them more evenness than ever before during this phase. .

The LimeLight is a sophisticated device that will have your aesthetician personalizing treatments according to skin type and tone. Brown spots are attracted by the laser light, which pulses in short blasts; patients may feel some mild sensation during treatment but this can be alleviated with its cooling tip.

Recovery

After treatment, your skin will be a little pink and the sun damage may look darker. But within a few days it may begin to flake off from your skin, fading into an even tone on your complexion. The goal of IPL treatments is for sun spots to decrease in size so that they are less noticeable when you’re out in sunlight. IPL can also work well during pregnancy if post-pregnancy pigmentation has stayed with you after childbirth – we call this melasma.
